In this game, you control one marble, trying to get dollars and prevent the computer-controlled marble from getting dollars. You also try to avoid falling in the pit in the center of the screen. You control the marble using the arrow keys.
This game is FREEWARE. All you have to do to become a registered user is to send me your name. (Easy,no?) I would also appreciate whatever advice, comments, requests, or etc. you have. If you see something the game should do, or could do better, tell me. If you think the art is so bad you can do better, let me know- I'd appreciate the help. Anyone on the Internet can get me at: ElvisJFK @ aol.com or through Snail-Mail at:
Ryan Baker, 716 Robin Meadow Drive, DeSoto,TX, 75115.
This is a BETA version. Registered users will recieve all major updates however you want them, and updates will also be posted on America OnLine and any other services they reach. Source code will also be available, now upon request, and to everybody after a couple months when all the big bugs are worked out.
System Requirements: System 7, 256 color Monitor bigger than 512x384. It should work with most normal system configurations... but if it doesn't let me know and maybe I can fix it. It prefers 1,024K memory but can be forced down to 750K, although that is less than the suggested minimum.
Finally, an explanation of why I chose freeware: Publicly available software comes in two categories: Stuff good enough to be commercial and junk.
The good stuff, like Maelstrom, Solarian, and Pararena, is classic and could be sold commercially. I'm good, but not that good yet.
And anything less than these guys doesn't deserve a penny, in my opinion. Besides, I'm in this to have fun and learn. I'll learn better if more people register and send comments without fear of cost. Anyways, that's my 2c worth.
Good luck, enjoy CRUNCH, and if you want to see more decent software like this, send comments, love notes, demands, anything.
